Kris is a Project Management Professional and Applied Science Technologist. He has a strong aptitude for teaching and he scores great reviews from his students. Having worked on projects in the Food and Beverage Industry, Electric Utility sector, Construction, Information Technology and Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Kris is a well rounded individual who uses an optimistic approach to overcoming challenges.
- In 2011, Kris was a guest speaker at the Energy & Utilities Asset Management Conference held by the Canadian Institute and spoke to an international group of attendees on using Crowdsourcing and Swarm Theory to improve Utility Asset Management.
- Having been recognized with an Award of Excellence from, Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), for the use of Geospatial Technologies at PowerStream Inc., Kris has leveraged his experiences and provides training to electric utilities looking to become spatially enabled.
- Always keeping busy, Kris has supported many not-for-profit organizations and initiatives including:
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA) as an Associate Member in the creation of the S250 Mapping of Underground Utility Infrastructure Standard
- Ontario Chapter of the GeoSpatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) as, over the the years, an executive committee member, president and secretary.
